Gus’s Keystone Restaurant Is Freshened Up for Summer

Summer is the time for fresh new flavors and a fresh new look at Gus’s Keystone Family Restaurant.

Completely renovated with new flooring, tables, chairs, booths and more, Gus’s restaurant is new and improved, with an investment of more than $200,000 to give the popular Ephrata area restaurant a great look.

Many of the favorites from the Mount Joy restaurant have made their way to the Ephrata restaurant, with 95 percent of the dishes everyone loves, like grilled salmon, Wenger’s ham loaf, roasted turkey, fresh seafood platter, soft shell crabs and sugar cured ham with pineapple sauce.

The bounty of summer produce, including fresh strawberries, lettuce, blueberries, peaches, tomatoes, beans and much more are featured in many of the fresh healthy salads and side dishes. Fresh summer salads include the Caribbean chicken salad, avocado Cajun chicken salad, Cobb salad and fresh baby spinach salad.

The dinner menu has been expanded with even more choices, including the classics like meatloaf, baked crust chicken pie, traditional chicken pot pie, Swedish meatballs, crispy broasted chicken. chicken croquettes, breaded pork chops, chicken Marsala, liver with onions and baked lasagna. There are even more fast, tasty lunch specials that include hearty soups, sandwiches, salads, clubs, burgers, cheesesteaks, wraps and more from 11 a.m. all the way to 4 p.m.

Even breakfast is bigger and better, with options like multigrain pancakes, Belgian waffles with fruit topping and the Keystone omelet with ham, sausage, bacon, onions, mushrooms, green peppers and cheese. Best of all, you can have breakfast all day, so that you can enjoy breakfast for lunch, dinner, or for breakfast, of course!

At Gus’s Keystone Family Restaurant, the emphasis is on “family.” You always feel welcome by Gus’s family, which includes Gus Kourgelis, his wife Eleni, daughters Lemonia (Lem) and Evangelia (Lia), and son-in-law Dino Papazekos. The Kourgelis family has its original Gus’s in Mount Joy and opened its Ephrata location last year.

Located right across from K-Mart, at 3687 Rothsville Road, Gus’s Keystone Restaurant has great breakfasts, tasty lunch and dinners, and a warm friendly welcome.
