Guitar workshop and concert at Bube’s

Fingerstyle guitarist Tim Farrell will offer a concert and guitar workshop at Bube’s Brewery, 102 N. Market St., Mount Joy on Sunday, April 22.

The workshop will be held at 2:30 p.m. and the concert will be at 6 p.m.

In honor of Earth Day, there will also be a presentation by Luthier Todd Johnston from Oracle Guitars in Harrisburg.

The guitar workshop is titled A Fingerstyle Celebration of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. Students will learn fingerstyle guitar arrangements of some of the incredibly creative music contained on this groundbreaking album. Students will also learn tips and techniques for playing these songs with lyrical musicality and solid musicianship. The workshop is hands-on, so bring a guitar, or just observe.

Farrell with also perform his award winning fingerstyle guitar and ukulele compositions, arrangements of popular songs including those from the workshop, fun songs, and audience interaction.

He is a 13-year Pennsylvania Performing Arts on Tour roster artist who performs internationally as a solo artist and has also shared the stage with many notable musicians including Les Paul, George Benson, and John Tesh. He is also a featured performer and instructor at many prestigious guitar festivals.
