Free Elvis tribute at Eicher

By on September 20, 2017

Brad Crum will perform his tribute to Elvis Presley show Sept. 24, at 2 p.m., at the Eicher Arts Center, 409 Cocalico St. in Ephrata Borough’s Grater Park. Admission is free. Refreshments will be provided.

Crum sings in the style of Elvis’ Las Vegas years. From 1969 through 1976 Elvis would break that city’s entertainment attendance records with his live, sold-out performances before more than two million fans. Crum, who has been performing in the Elvis style for 17 years, believes Elvis’ voice became more operatic, more powerful in the Las Vegas years than it had been earlier in his career.

Wearing a jumpsuit like Elvis wore, Crum will sing such Presley hits as “Suspicious Minds,” “My Way,” and “The Wonder of You.”

In his live shows as Elvis, Crum sparks a powerful connection with his audience.

“I know they’re appreciating the music,” Crum said. “I think for many in the audience, it takes them right back to appreciating Elvis.”

The Eicher Arts Center, Inc. is hosting the show at the historic Eicher House near Cocalico Creek as part of its 2017 series of admission-free cultural and entertainment programs. Donations to the arts center will be accepted.
