Producer Kevin Carvell has joined Arrowstorm Entertainment’s all-new science fiction space thriller “Magellan” as an executive producer.

In this film from co-writer and director Rob York, after NASA picks up a trio of mysterious signals from within our own solar system, astronaut Roger Nelson (Brandon Ray Olive, “NCIS,” “Mosaic”) is dispatched on a multi-year solo mission aboard the Magellan spacecraft to investigate the sources. What he discovers will change our understanding of science and our place in the universe, but the journey will have lasting consequences on Nelson and the wife he left behind.

This is a hard science fiction film about space exploration, based on real science and theoretical situations. Every aspect of the story was carefully researched. A former member of NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory was brought in to advise on astronautics and planetary science. The result is a mind-blowing space thriller about possible first contact.

“I suppose this is me reconnecting with my childhood a bit,” Carvell says. “When I was coming up, many little boys and girls wanted to be astronauts. When the shuttles went up, it was always a big televised event when I was a kid. I felt a real connection here. And I think the audience will really feel that too through Commander Nelson.”

“Magellan” stars Brandon Ray Olive, K. Danor Gerald, Whitney Palmer, Nicola Posener, D.L. Walker, Davey Morrison, and Matthew Mercer. It is presented by Arrowstorm Entertainment in association with Firespire Productions and Bold Film Productions.

In order to help support the production and future commercial distribution of this independent film, for a limited time, fans can now pre-order the special Kickstarter Edition, along with extras, on DVD, Blu-ray, and digital download at Kickstarter.com. This edition is expected to be released February 2017.
