The Ephrata Concert Band, with Lincoln Fogelsanger conducting, will kick off its 2015 season on Sunday, June 21 at 7:15 p.m. with a Father’s Day-themed musical program.

“Dad’s Day,” “His Honor” and “Your Father’s Mustache” will be among the musical numbers the band will play. Soprano Suzanne Delahunt will lend her singing voice to some of the band’s music, including selections from the Broadway show “The King and I.”

Weather permitting, the band will perform at the band shell at Ephrata Borough’s Grater Community Park. Bring folding chairs. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will take place inside the Ephrata Recreation Center at 130 S. Academy Drive. Admission is free.

The Ephrata band’s outdoor concerts on Sunday evening will continue for the next several weeks. Each concert features a variety of song styles and genres, from marches to patriotic songs to pop tunes and show tunes.

To help fund the full summer season, the Ephrata Concert Band Committee is making a renewed appeal to individuals, businesses and non-profit groups to make tax-deductible donations at levels ranging from band booster (up to $24) to (bronze patron) $25 to $49; silver patron ($50 to $99); golden patron ($100 to $299); and benefactor ($300 or more.)

The committee is also offering businesses making donations an opportunity to place an ad in the concert band program for added amounts ranging from $25 for business card size to $100 for a full-page ad.
