EPAC announces 2015 season

EPAC is on an artistic roll, and the 2015 season promises to be no different. They have put together an amazing selection of plays and musicals that will make audiences laugh, cry, sing out loud, and contemplate our common humanity. The 2015 season is guaranteed to both enlighten and entertain.

Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr. (Feb. 6-22) — With a brilliant score that includes uplifting songs like “Under the Sea” and “Part of Your World,” this musical treasure is designed for young artists as well as younger audiences, making it the perfect family treat.

August: Osage County (March 19-April 4) — August: Osage County is a modern masterpiece as it explores the often confrontational yet humorous nature of family relationships, making it the perfect show for any fan of the EPAC edge.

Monty Python’s Spamalot (April 30-May 16) — Follow the brave Sir Robin and the Knights of the Round Table in this hilarious Tony Award winning musical version of the 1975 cult classic Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

The Odd Couple (Neil Simon, June 11-27) — Neil Simon’s career Tony Award winning play opened on Broadway in 1965 and ran for 964 performances before being crafted into the 1968 film starring Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon.

La Cage Aux Folles (July 23-Aug. 8) — The original 1983 Broadway production garnered nine Tony Award nominations and six wins, including Best Musical, Best Score, and Best Book. In 1996 the movie version, The Birdcage, brought this entertaining romp to the big screen.

The Elephant Man (Sept. 3-19) — The 1979 Broadway production won three Tony Awards including Best Play. Merrick’s tragic story was also adapted into an unforgettable 1980 film that starred John Hurt, Anthony Hopkins, and Anne Bancroft.

Carrie, the Musical (Oct. 15-31) — Based on the Stephen King novel and a 1979 Brian DePalma film starring Sissy Spacek and Piper Laurie, Carrie the Musical lives far from the lore that surrounds its pop culture history.

Shrek the Musical (Dec. 3-19) — Fans of the film version starring Mike Myers and Eddie Murphy will not be disappointed, as all of your favorite fairytale creatures come to life in this perfect family holiday musical delight.
