Dance Dynamix Showcase of Talent is June 9

Siblings Keaira and Braeyden Jones of Dance Dynamix will be performing in the school’s Showcase of Talent on June 9.

Talking to soft spoken Braedyn Jones, you would never guess how expressive he is through movement on stage. Dance is a girl dominated sport, but that never stops Jones from shining to his fullest potential on stage.

Nine-year-old Braeyden has been dancing since he was five, and admits he started because “my sister danced.”

Braeyden is on the dance company at Dance Dynamix in Lititz and takes several additional technique classes. This year he’s performing in nine dances and says his favorites are jazz and hip hop because they’re “upbeat and fun.”

Dance is a family affair in the Jones household as his sister Keaira is also a company dancer and his mother and grandmother are often found at the studio watching class and helping out wherever needed.

Braeyden is one of six boys performing in the Dance Dynamix annual show. If you’d like to enjoy an afternoon of incredible young talent for free, the showcase takes place on Sunday June 9 at 3 p.m., at the Warwick High School auditorium, 301 W. Orange St., Lititz.

Dance Dynamix is the only studio in the area that doesn’t charge for admission.
