The Lititz Historical Foundation has planned two special holiday events to which the community is invited.

Carol sing

Join the Lititz Historical Foundation in conjunction with the Lititz Moravian Archives for the annual community Christmas carol sing, on Thursday, Dec. 7, beginning at 7 p.m. This is a free event, and will take place at Moravian Church Square.

The Moravian Trombone Choir will be on hand and free song sheets will be handed out. Afterwards, all are welcome to warm up inside Fellowship Hall where light refreshments will be served.

The Putz will also be available for various showings throughout the evening in the church’s social hall.

Candlelight tour

Then, one evening later, join the historical foundation for their annual Christmas candlelight tour on Dec. 8. The Lititz Museum, located at 137 E. Main St., will be open from 5 to 9 p.m. Explore this free attraction, and the gift shop. Light refreshments will be available.

Next door, tours of the 1792 Johannes Mueller House will be free of charge; however timed tickets are required, and can be picked up inside the museum beginning at 4 p.m. that afternoon. Tours begin every 15 minutes between 5 to 8 p.m. Donations are accepted.

Period costumed docents will be located throughout this 1792 historic home to answer questions as attendees discover what life was like in the closed Moravian town of Lititz many years ago.
