The Warwick Middle School drama club will present the production of “Beauty and the Beast Jr.” on Friday, May 18 at 7 p.m., and Saturday, May 19 at 2 p.m. in the Middle School Auditorium.

This is the classic tale of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town played by Emma Walls, and the Beast (Stirling McFarlan), a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. The Beast needs to learn to love and be loved in order for the curse to end. If he does he will be transformed back to his former self, but time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and the entire castle will be doomed for all eternity.

Based on the original Broadway production that ran for over 13 years and was nominated for nine Tony Awards, “Beauty and the Beast Jr.” is a fantastic adaptation of the story of transformation and tolerance.

Members of the cast and crew include: Tori Guhl, Ethan Souder, Matias Pilarte, Zandasha Loussaint, Emma Walls, Zachary Flaiz, Stirling McFarlan, AJ Germaine, Tyson Harper, Jonah Lenahan, Grayson Miller, Abbie Bender, Mary Anderson, Camille Ellen Cox, Ian Arters, Lilah Goss, Nick Longenecker, Gabi Steffy, Ella Lucas, Jasmine Minnich, Holly Colvin, Jenniebelle Stringham, Talia Christner, Aubrey Bitner, Angela Cordischi, Dale Day, Lilian Waite, Lilly Ackerma, Liz Buige, George Hartman, Juliana Sayevskiy, Catherine Olson, Ronin Esposito, Miranda Rodriguez, Lily Grisbacher, Rose Grisbacher and Kailei Garman.
