Art in the park

The Annual Lititz Outdoor Fine Art Show will be held Saturday, July 26 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., rain or shine, in Lititz Springs Park.

The event showcases the art of over 125 artists working in oils, acrylics, watercolor, pastels, drawing, ceramics, mixed media and sculpture. There is no admission charge to attend.

This art show is held the last Saturday of July and has been a tradition in Lititz for 48 years. The late Floyd Hackman started the show when he was the president of the Village Art Association of Lititz. The show has grown from originally being on the sidewalks of Lititz to now filling the park. The Floyd Hackman Award is just one of the $1,700 in awards given that day.

Plan to spend a day in the park meeting the artists and enjoying the fine work they have for show and sale. Lunch can be purchased from several concessions and enjoyed in the shade of the pavilions in the park.
