Woman files false report to police

The Manheim Borough Police Department reported the following:

FALSE REPORT -Wanda Ortiz, 41, South Main Street, was charged with false reports to law enforcement after reporting a fictitious home invasion report to police at 4:54 a.m. March 28 at 127 South Main St.

DUI -Matthew R. Kelly, 33, of Conestoga Avenue, Manheim, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance and failure to drive on the right half of the road at 3:11 a.m. March 15 after his vehicle crossed over the center yellow line and he was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol on Mount Joy Road and North Colebrook Road in Rapho Township.

DUI -Tara A. Shenk, 28, of North Hanover Street, Elizabethtown, was charged with DUI and exceeding the maximum speed limit at 2:25 a.m. Feb. 22. after she was pulled over for speeding and found to be driving under the influence of alcohol on East Main Street and McKinley Avenue in Rapho Township.

POSSESSION -Jessie T. Shenk, 20, of Lawn Road, Manheim, was charged with possession with intent to sell, possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia and purchase, consumption, possession, transportation of liquor or malt beverage after the officer found him parked in a church parking lot after hours and marijuana was found in his vehicle. He was also under the influence of a controlled substance and had open bottles of alcohol in his vehicle at 2392 Mouth Joy Road in Rapho Township at 9:12 p.m. March 9.

POSSESSION -Brian T. Lupold, 19, Poplar Lane, Elizabethtown, was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia and purchase, consumption, possession, transportation of liquor or malt beverage after he was found in a parked car in the church parking lot after hours under the influence of a controlled substance and open bottles of alcohol were found in the vehicle at 2392 Mount Joy Road in Rapho Township at 9:12 p.m. March 9.

POSSESSION -Matthew J. Kuraska, 20, of Mill Brook Terrace, Monroe, was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia and purchase, consumption, possession, transportation of liquor or malt beverage after he was found in a parked car in the church parking lot after hours under the influence of a controlled substance and open bottles of alcohol were found in the vehicle at 2392 Mount Joy Road in Rapho Township at 9:12 p.m. March 9.

ASSAULT -James R. Jackson, 52, of Birch Lane, Columbia, was charged with simple assault and use/possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia after he struck the victim during a fight causing injury to his face at 1:14 p.m. March 27 at 50 Birch Lane Lane in Rapho Township. Drug paraphernalia was found in his possession.
