Rothsville logs 74 calls in February

ASSIST CALL –  The company assisted the Neffsville Fire Co. Feb. 1 at 2829 Lititz Pike with a building fire. One engine, six firefighters and one fire police responded, traveling 11 miles and serving 13 minutes.

ASSIST CALL –  The company assisted the West Earl Fire Co. Feb. 4 at 3920 Oregon Pike with a dwelling fire. One engine, nine firefighters and two ambulance personnel responded, traveling seven miles and serving 42 minutes.

STANDBY –  The company was on standby in station at Rothsville Volunteer Fire Co. Feb. 5 at 2071 Main St. due to an ice storm. Six firefighters responded traveling no miles and were in service two hours.

ASSIST CALL –  The company assisted the Lititz Fire Co. Feb. 6 at 301 W. Orange St. with a building fire. One engine and 10 firefighters responded traveling eight miles and were in service 40 minutes.

ASSIST CALL –  The company assisted the Neffsville Fire Co. Feb. 7 at 3001 Lititz Pike with a building fire. One engine and 10 firefighters responded, traveling 12 miles and were in service 45 minutes.

INVESTIGATION –  The company investigated an electrical issue Feb. 10 at 2079 Main St. One engine and six firefighters responded, traveling five miles and were in service 35 minutes.

ASSIST CALL –  The company assisted Brunnerville Fire Co. Feb. 16 at 3 Fox Run Terrace with a dwelling fire. One engine, 12 firefighters and three fire police responded, traveling seven miles and were in service 51 minutes.

ASSIST CALL –  The company assisted Lititz Fire Co. Feb. 16 at 660 Brunnerville Road with a barn fire, but were recalled while responding. One engine, 11 firefighters and three fire police responded, traveling three miles and were in service eight minutes.

ASSIST CALL –  The company assisted Lititz Fire Co. Feb. 24 at 47 Pennwick Drive with an apartment building fire. One engine and five firefighters responded, traveling six miles and were in service one hour and four minutes.

STANDBY –  The company was on standby at East Petersburg Fire Station Feb. 28 at 6076 Pine Street. They transferred one engine to their station but were redirected to assist Lititz Fire Co. One engine and nine firefighters responded, traveling 3.5 miles and were in service 16 minutes.

ASSIST CALL –  The company assisted the Lititz Fire Co. Feb. 28 at 39 E. Woods Drive with a chimney fire. One engine and six firefighters responded, traveling 3.5 miles and were in service 25 minutes.

The Rothsville Volunteer Fire Company responded to 11 incidents for the month of February. Responding to those calls were 89 firefighters, 7 fire police and 2 ambulance personnel and traveling 61.5 miles and serving 7 hours and 39 minutes.

The Rothsville Volunteer Fire Company Ambulance responded to 63 calls, with 167 personnel responding to the calls, traveling 1,131.9 miles and serving 71.7 hours.

Total calls for the month of February was 74.
