Police investigate several crashes

Lititz Borough Police Department reported the following:

CRASH – Police investigated a crash that occurred at the intersection of South Broad Street and West Orange Street at 9:15 a.m. Feb. 4. A vehicle driven by Ellen C. Ruth, 80, of Lititz failed to stop for a red traffic light and was struck by a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old male from Lititz. No injuries were reported.

CRASH – Police investigated a crash that occurred on East Main Street at 2:25 p.m. Feb. 4. A legally parked vehicle was struck by a passing vehicle. The striking vehicle fled the scene without leaving any information.

CRASH – Police investigated a crash that occurred on East Front Street at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 7. A vehicle driven by Jose Benitez-Rodriguez, 40, of Mount Joy struck a vehicle driven by Mark J. Boyd, 46, of Lititz. No injuries were reported.

CRASH – Police investigated a crash that occurred in the 200 block of East Main Street at 7:13 p.m. Feb. 8. A vehicle driven by Richard L. Kline, 83, of Lititz struck the car door of a parked vehicle which was occupied by Amber N. Weidman, 25, of Lititz when she opened her car door into traffic. No injuries were reported.

CRASH – Police investigated a crash that occurred on South Cedar Street at 8:14 a.m. Feb. 14. A vehicle driven by John M. Deibler, 70, struck a vehicle driven by Cyrus R. Rassouli, 33, of Lititz. No injuries were reported.

CRASH – Police investigated a crash that occurred in the parking lot of a business on North Water Street at 6:46 p.m. Feb. 14. Patrol reported to police that upon exiting the business, he discovered that someone had struck his legally parked vehicle. The striking vehicle fled the scene.

CRASH – A resident of the 200 block of East Main Street reported to police that sometime overnight Feb. 19 an unknown vehicle struck her vehicle while it was legally parked. The striking vehicle fled the scene.

CRASH – Police investigated a crash that occurred at the intersection of South Cedar Street and East Second Avenue at 6:27 a.m. Feb. 20. A vehicle driven by Carole Debenedictis, 19, of Lititz struck a vehicle driven by Amanda Shoemaker, 22, of Lititz. No injuries were reported.

CRASH – Police investigated a crash that occurred at the intersection of South Broad Street and East Sixth Street at 11:55 a.m. Feb. 20. A vehicle driven by Norma Guzman-Carujo, 22, Lititz, struck a vehicle driven by Michael Hartman, 44, Lititz. No injuries were reported.

THEFT – A resident reported their scooter was stolen from outside of a business on East Main Street at 8:38 p.m. Feb. 14.

VANDALISM – Two residents on North Liberty Street reported to police at 11:11 a.m. Feb. 6 they discovered someone scratched their vehicles while they were parked on the street.

VANDALISM – A resident of the 100 block of North Oak Street reported to police at 8:03 p.m. Feb. 8 that sometime overnight someone had struck his mailbox in front of his house.

ARREST – Police contacted Nicole M. Smith, 41, of Manheim at the intersection of Campus Drive and West Orange Street at 8:12 p.m. Feb. 9. Smith was under the influence of alcohol and was cited with public drunkenness. Smith was summoned into District Court.

TRESPASSING – Police arrested William H. Geiger Jr., 77, of Lititz for trespassing after he was found at a property on East Orange Street at 11:15 a.m. Feb. 23. Geiger had been previously warned several times not to return to that property. Geiger was summoned into District Court.

HARASSMENT – Police responded to a domestic incident in the 300 block of East Main Street at 5:26 p.m. Feb. 20. Police arrested a 17-year-old Lititz female for harassment after she struck another person during the course of an argument.The juvenile was summoned into District Court.

THEFT – Skylar Daugherty, 20, of Lititz was charged with theft by unlawful taking or disposition for stealing a tip jar from an establishment in the first block of East Main Street in Lititz Jan. 26.

BAD CHECKS – Police filed a criminal complaint against Robert L. Wall, 61, Manheim, on a bad checks charge Feb 25. In October 2013, Wall wrote a check to Keller Brothers Ford in the amount of $21,663.25 to cover the purchase cost of a vehicle. The check was returned for non-sufficient funds by the bank. Wall then failed to make payment to the dealership. Wall was summoned into District Court.

THEFT – Police filed a criminal complaint against Douglas M. Harsh Jr., 25, Lititz, on a charge of theft by unlawful taking Feb 25. On Feb. 21, a resident of the 100 block of South Broad Street reported to police that their cell phone was stolen from inside his bedroom. During the course of the investigation, police identified that Harsh had taken the phone. Harsh was summoned into District Court.

STALKING – Police filed a criminal complaint against Christian A. Endrizzi, 36, of Lititz for charges of stalking and harassment Feb. 28. Endrizzi was charged after he committed a course of conduct by repeatedly contacting an ex-girlfriend in person, by text message and by telephone over the course of a month after being previously warned not to contact the ex-girlfriend. Endrizzi was summoned into District Court.

CRASH – Police investigated a crash that occurred at the intersection of East Main Street and North Cedar Street at 7:58 a.m. Feb. 26. A vehicle driven by Karen L. Loose, 57, Lititz, struck a vehicle driven by a 16-year-old female juvenile. No injuries were reported.
