80, farmer, WWII veteran

John H. Brenner, 80, of Lititz, passed away on July 14, 2008, at his
residence.
Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Domer and
Harriet Eberly Brenner, and the husband of the late Jean C. Brenner, who
passed away in 2004.
John was a member of the Lititz Church of the
Brethren, Manheim, Lodge #587 F.&A.M, and the Elstonville Sportsmans
Club. He was an avid hunter and sportsman.
John served in the Air
Force during World War II. After the service, he worked in farming, then
later was employed by Alumax Mill Products of Lancaster, and for 12 years
worked at the Manheim Auto Auction.
Surviving are two daughters,
Robyn Jean, wife of Gary R. Meckley, Lititz; P. Suzanne "Suzie" Brenner,
Klimmen, Netherlands; grandchildren, Margaret L., wife of David C. Lusk,
Lititz; Joshua A., husband of Melissa Smith, Lititz; great grandchildren,
Jarod D. and Carissa Lusk, Ian J. and Sara L. Smith, Brandon R. Griffith;
and a brother, James D., husband of Nancy Brenner, Lititz. He was
predeceased by a sister, Nancy Ludwig.
Memorial services will be
held on Friday, July 18, at 2 p.m., at the Richard H. Heisey Funeral Home,
216 S. Broad St., Lititz. There will be a visitation with the family from 1
to 2 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the
family.
