William “Bill” Landis, formerly of Lititz, passed away peacefully in his home at the age of 70.

Bill was born to Wilbur Landis and Rosa Johnson on April 15, 1947, in Berlin, Germany.

As a young man, he served his country as an officer in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed many things in life, including golf, softball, watching and supporting the University of Kansas sports teams as a former graduate, art, painting, and occasionally illustrating for local newspapers. But most of all Bill enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years: Sharon; son: Chad (Anna) Landis; stepfather: Max Johnson; and too many nieces, nephews, and extended friends and family to count, including some in Austria.

Bill is preceded in death by his mother: Rosa K Johnson.

A celebration of life was held at Hope Lutheran Church in The Villages, Florida, on Aug. 14. A private family burial will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The American Cancer Society or Cornerstone Hospice of The Villages, 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, FL 32162

Baldwin Brothers Funeral and Cremation Society, with locations throughout Florida, handled the arrangements. Condolences to the family may be offered at baldwincremation.com.
