Steven N. Miller, 65, MCHS grad, Air National Guard secure communications technician

Steven N. Miller, 65, of Mount Joy, died Friday afternoon, Aug. 18, 2017, at Lancaster General Hospital.

Born in Lancaster, and a graduate of Manheim Central High School, he was the son of the late Cyrus and Dorothy Miller.

He is survived by his wife: Nanci Jo Miller; and two children: Scott S., husband of Melanie Demastus, of Elizabethtown; and Abbie L., wife of Michael Reed, of Baltimore. He also left behind four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Steven served four years in the United States Air Force and 18 years in the Unit 193rd Air National Guard as a secure communications technician.

Steven was an avid fisherman, hunter, enjoyed eating meals at Gus’s Keystone Diner in Mount Joy, and loved spending time with his grandchildren and watching the Phillies.

A funeral service will be held at Wrightsville Assembly of God, 365 Orange St., Wrightsville, on Thursday, Aug. 24, at 11 a.m. Family and friends will be received at the church before the service from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Henry Eberle Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Animal Rescue Inc., 2 Heritage Farm Drive, New Freedom, PA 17349; or the Kidney Foundation of Central PA, 900 S. Arlington Ave., Suite 134 A, Harrisburg, PA 17109.
