Nicholas F. Haller, 25, EHS grad, self-taught guitar player, loved animals, kind and caring

Nicholas F. Haller, 25, of Ephrata, passed away Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016 at Lancaster General Hospital.

He was a graduate Ephrata High School and was a member of Mellingers Lutheran Church in Schoeneck. Nick played high school ice hockey and was a self-taught guitar player. He loved music and animals, and was a kind and caring person.

Nick is survived by his son: Landon Michael Haller; his parents: Lynn J. (Farlow) Martin of Ephrata; and Michael A. Haller, husband of Patricia (Roesch) Haller, of Lititz; his paternal grandmother: Shirley Haller of Lititz; maternal grandmother: Miriam Farlow, of Ephrata; niece: Natalya Burkey; and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Nick was preceded in death by his brother: Nathan F. Haller.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m., on Thursday, Dec. 8, at Gravenor Home for Funerals, 100 W. Main St., Ephrata; and from 10 to 11 a.m., on Friday, Dec. 9, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 167 E. Main St., Ephrata. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Dec. 9 at Holy Trinity, with the Rev. Henry E. Herbener and the Rev. Timothy L. Craven officiating. Interment will follow at Mellinger’s Cemetery in Schoeneck.

Those who desire may made memorial donations to Nick’s son with checks payable to Landon Haller mailed to JBT Bank, 1001 Sharp Ave., Ephrata, PA 17522.
