Mary G. Loump, 95, mother of four, White Oak COB member, enjoyed gardening, baking

Mary G. Loump, 95, of Mount Joy, died peacefully Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016, at her home.

Born in Berks County, she was the daughter of the late Monroe and Suzanna Ginder Fahnestock. Mary was the wife of the late J. Irvin Loump, who died in November of 1998.

Mary helped on the family farm and also worked with her husband with his backhoe service. She was a member of the White Oak Church of the Brethren, Manheim. Her interests included vegetable and flower gardening, sewing and baking.

Surviving is a son: John I., husband of Kathleen M. Loump, of Manheim; three daughters: Mary Susan, wife of Herman L. Zeager, of Bainbridge; Phyllis Loump; and Sharon Ruth Loump, both of Mount Joy; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Mable Diffenderfer of Manheim; and Nettie Krall of Myerstown.

Preceding her in death are five brothers: Allen, Monroe, Elmer, Rufus, and Norman Fahnestock; three sisters: Theda Sensenig and Esther and Edith Fahnestock; and one great-granddaughter.

Services were held Feb. 10 at White Oak Church of the Brethren, Manheim. Interment was in Graybill’s Brethren Cemetery, Elm.
