Loretta A. Beahm, 89, district court of Montgomery County secretary, enjoyed craft shows

Loretta A. Beahm, 89, of Luther Acres, Lititz, passed away Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Clement and Anna (Pammer) Farnschlader. She was the loving wife of Robert W. Beahm, with whom she shared more than 57 years of marriage.

She was a graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School. Loretta worked as corporate secretary before marriage and later continued secretarial work for the district court of Montgomery County and Goshenhoppen Mutual after she had raised her family.

She enjoyed traveling to local craft shows in the county, going out to eat, sewing, reading, baking and had an affinity for llamas and alpacas. Above all, she was a great wife, mother, and companion.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters: Kristin Grant, wife of Ken, of Newark, Del.; Carol Abbatiello, wife of Salvatore, of Glastonbury, Conn.; and Michelle Beahm, wife of Bruce Greer, of Paxtang. Also surviving are four grandchildren: Nicholas, Rachel, Alexander, Gina; six step-grandchildren; and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sister: Joan Hendershot.

In keeping with Loretta’s wishes there will be no formal services.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Loretta’s memory to the Caring Fund at Luther Acres, 600 E. Main St., Lititz, PA 17543; or Hospice and Community Care, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
