John R. Hollinger, 84, Lititz H.S. grad, mechanic, owned Hollinger’s Service Station, Phils fan

John R. Hollinger, 84, West Cocalico Township resident, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2018, at The Gardens of Lititz.
He was born on June 28, 1934 in Lititz, son of the late Charles and Ella (Roth) Hollinger.
John graduated from Lititz High School and later served as Worshipful Master of Manheim Lodge No. 587 F. & A. M. and remained a member for 30 years. John worked as a mason, mechanic and carpenter. Along with his brother Eugene, John owned and operated Hollinger’s Service Station on the corners of Front and Cedars Streets in Lititz. He was an avid Phillies fan.
He leaves behind his wife: Jean A. (Amand) Hollinger; daughters: Lori, wife of Fred Kaufman of Davidson, N.C.; Terry, wife of Jeffrey Nau of Columbia; and JoAnne, wife of Mark Nitroy of Lancaster; and son: John M. Hollinger, husband of Barbara of Lititz. John had three grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
John was preceded in death by his siblings: Charles and Eugene Hollinger and Lois Risser.
No memorial service is planned. Interment will be private in the Moravian Cemetery, Lititz.
