John F. Loercher, 94, WWII vet, Raymark retiree, enjoyed time spent with his grandkids

John F. Loercher, 94, of Manheim, passed away at home on Monday, Aug. 21, 2017.

Born in Manheim, he was the son of the late William and Fanny Randler Loercher. He was the loving husband of Viola Ditzler Loercher, and they celebrated their 74th wedding anniversary in March.

John retired from the former Raymark Industries, Manheim. He proudly served in the United States Army during World War II and received several medals and bronze stars. John was a member of Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, Manheim, and he loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two children: J. Timothy, husband of Ruth Loercher, of Manheim; Sharon L., wife of D. Bruce Wilson, of Spring City; four grandchildren: Chad and Matthew Loercher, David Wilson, Jessica Hathaway; and two great-grandchildren: Alivia and Alexa Loercher.

He was preceded in death by a sister: Arlene Snyder; and three brothers: Earl, Charles, and Ray Loercher.

Graveside services were held Aug. 25 at Manheim Fairview Cemetery.
