Joan A. Selzle, 77, transportation aide, active in church, Labrador Retriever breeder

Joan A. Selzle, 77, Lititz, died peacefully on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at Moravian Manor.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late John D. and Yvonne Racely Beck. Joan worked as a bus transportation aide for IU13 in Lancaster County. Previously she worked for a veterinarian and was a Labrador Retriever dog breeder. Earlier in life, she was the owner/operator of Windsong Farm Boarding Kennel.

She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, Lititz, where she was active in the choir and played piano for the children’s choir. Her interests included crocheting, vegetable and flower gardening, canning, reading, and playing the piano.

Surviving are three daughters and one son: Sherie Daniel of Lansdale; Susan, wife of Michael Davis, of Douglassville; Brenda Richter of York; and James, husband of Jennifer Richter, of Lancaster; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Preceding her in death are two grandchildren, one great grandson, a brother and a sister.

A memorial service will be held at the Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, 44 E.
