J. Lamar Denlinger, 66, landscaper, Bethany Presbyterian Church member, enjoyed cooking

J. Lamar Denlinger, 66, of Lititz, passed away Monday, July 31, 2017, at Hospice and Community Care in Mount Joy after a lengthy illness.

Born in Mount Joy, he was the son of the late Raymond and Dorothy Denlinger. He was the loving husband of Joan (Girvin) Denlinger of 44 years.

Lamar was employed as a landscaper before his illness. He was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church, Lancaster. He enjoyed cooking and flower gardening.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a brother: Robert, husband of Bonnie (Brinser) Denlinger, of Mount Joy; and a sister: Barbara, wife of Karl Miller, of Lancaster.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Lamar’s memorial service on Friday, Aug. 11, at 10 a.m., from the Brethren Village Chapel, 3001 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, with the Rev. Dana Statler officiating. A visitation time will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Lamar’s memory may be sent to Hospice and Community Care, 4075 Old Harrisburg Pike, Mount Joy, PA 17552.
