Glenn H. Baylor, 87, Korea vet, Lebanon Daily News accountant, enjoyed oil painting
Glenn H. Baylor, 87, of Manheim, passed away Jan. 4, 2016, at the Lebanon VA Medical Center.
He was the husband of Phyllis M. Edris Baylor with whom he spent 52 years. Born in Lebanon on Dec. 27, 1928, he was the son of the late Paul D. and Verna J. Haleman Baylor.
Glenn had served with the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He was a 1947 graduate of Lebanon High School and also of Lebanon Business School. He worked for Lebanon Daily News as an accountant. Glenn was a member of Mount Wilson Church of the Brethren. He was artistic, having enjoyed working with oil paints and also working in his garden.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his siblings: Rose Marie Beck of Lebanon; and Elizabeth L. Espenshade of Elizabethtown; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son: David Neal Baylor; his brothers: Paul Baylor, Thomas E. Baylor, David Lee Baylor; and sisters: Genevieve Bentz and Patricia Showers.
Services were held Jan. 7 at Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, Annville. Interment followed at Grand View Memorial Park, Annville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hospice and Community Care, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125; or Lebanon VA Medical Center, Hospice Unit, 1700 S. Lincoln Ave., Lebanon, PA 17042.
