Gary M. Kulp, 54, worked at Depuy Synthes, Senior Shepherd at St. Paul’s Lutheran

Gary M. Kulp, 54, of Ephrata, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2017, at Heart of Lancaster Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Lancaster to Jill (Meachen) Kulp and the late Benjamin Webster Kulp, and was the husband of Brenda (Bechtel) Kulp, with whom he shared 27 years of marriage.

Gary was an active member of Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church, Lititz, where he worked with Senior Shepherds to make wooden toys for children and adults with special needs.

He worked for Depuy Synthes for 14 years; and most recently for Aero Tech, under contract for Tait Towers as a CNC programmer/journeyman machinist. He was a volunteer coach for football, baseball and wrestling, and was the assistant director for the Ephrata Rec Center midget football association for some time. He also volunteered with the War Memorial Association. He enjoyed long car rides with no destination other than to arrive back home. Gary loved being outdoors, spending his time, hunting, fishing and shooting guns with his boys. He also loved being around friends and family sharing stories.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons: Jarrod M. Kulp and girlfriend Samantha Barsuk; Derrike B. Kulp and girlfriend Shaila B. Fabiani; and a sister: Anita Lynne Kulp.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 20, at 11 a.m., at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 200 W. Orange St., Lititz, with Rev. Rob Myallis officiating.
