Deaths of Local Interest – Aug. 18, 2016

Anna Mary Burkholder, 90, of Ephrata, passed away Aug. 12 at her residence. She was a member of Martindale Old Order Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference, and was a homemaker. Her brother, Willis, husband of Emma Nolt, resides in Manheim.

Robert “Bob” L. Gressley Sr., 80, of Willow Street, entered into rest Aug. 9 at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy, after a brief illness. He was the husband of Grace M. (Witmer) Gressley. Bob retired from NTN (former Federal-Mogul and Bearings Co. of America), Lititz.

Richard “Rick” Patrick Long, 61, of Winston-Salem, N.C., passed away peacefully with his son and sisters by his side on Aug. 2, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a welder and auto mechanic by trade and owned and operated Long VW Service for more than 28 years. He also enjoyed playing guitar and was a member of the infamous Camel City Jug Band. His sister, Linda Lowe, wife of Robert; and Joan Gorlaski, wife of Joseph, live in Lititz.

Carol Ann Neideigh, 75, of Mount Joy, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Aug. 13, at Luther Acres, Lititz. Carol was employed at the former AMP of Elizabethtown and later was employed by Advanced Convergent Technologies. She enjoyed spending time in the mountains with her husband, and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Dorothy G. Rehm, 88, passed away Aug. 9 at Kingston Nursing Center. Dorothy retired from the banking industry. She was a member of the Conway Medical Center Auxiliary and volunteered in the hospital gift shop. She cherished her many neighbors and friends in the Myrtle Trace South community who supported her during her illness. A brother, Joseph C. Gochenauer, husband of Pat, lives in Lititz.
