Constance Kesner, 90, Luther Acres resident, mother of three

Constance “Connie” Lehman McNicholas Kesner, 90, of Lititz, formerly of Johnstown, N.Y., passed away Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016, at Luther Acres.

She was born Feb. 28, 1926, in Gloversville, N.Y., the daughter of the late Kenneth C. and Josephine Kovarovic Lehman.

She is lovingly survived by one son: LTC (Ret) James E. McNicholas (Dorothy) of Buffalo, N.Y.; two daughters: Janice M. Garrett (Thomas) of Lancaster; and Patricia M. Gregory (Keith) of Germantown, Md.; four grandchildren: Whitney Keaton (Daniel) of Ashburn, Va.; Amy Belicev (Mihail) of Falls Church, Va.; Kathleen E. Gregory of Sydney, Australia; and Daniel J. Gregory of Germantown, Md.; four great-grandchildren: Isaac and Jackson Belicev, and Olivia and Haley Keaton; two stepdaughters: Anne Abplanalp of Jacksonville, Fla.; and Ruth Butler of St. Petersburg, Fla.; five step-grandchildren; and 15 step-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her first husband: James E. McNicholas; and second husband: Herbert Kesner. She was also preceded in death by her step-grandson: Christian Maltby, who was a victim of 9/11 while working for Cantor-Fitzgerald at the World Trade Center.

Services were held Dec. 9 at Holy Trinity Church, Glebe Street, Johnstown, N.Y.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Connie’s memory may be made to March of Dimes; your local hospice program; or the Holy Trinity Church Memorial Fund, 207 Glebe St., Johnstown, NY 12095.
