Clayton W. Bartlett, 91, WWII vet, RCA electrician, Manheim Auto Auction worker, enjoyed billiards

Clayton W. Bartlett, 91, of Manheim, passed away Friday, Feb. 12, 2016, at the Lebanon VA Medical Center.

Born in Schuylkill County, he was the son of the late Robert and Minnie Mae Graysley Bartlett. He was the husband of Helen Myers Bartlett, and they would have celebrated 30 years of marriage in April.

Clayton retired as an electrician after more than 20 years at RCA, Lancaster. Following retirement, he worked part time at the Manheim Auto Auction for more than 15 years. He proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. Clayton also graduated from Thaddeus Stevens Trade School, Lancaster, as an electrician. He was a member of the Manheim VFW Post No. 5956 and Manheim American Legion Post No. 419. His interests included bowling, darts, and billiards.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons: James C., husband of Ilene Bartlett; Thomas C. Bartlett, both of Ephrata; a daughter: Faye; two step daughters: Joy Groff of Honolulu, Hawaii; Mary Groff of Mount Joy; two stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Wednesday, Feb. 17, at 11 a.m. There will be a public viewing from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in Conestoga Memorial Park, Lancaster, with military honors.
