Charles I. Fosnocht, 87, formerly of Ephrata and Adamstown, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, in Audubon Villa, Lititz.

Born in Elverson, Berks County, he was a son of the late Charles A. and Daisy (Buchanan) Fosnocht. His wife, Thelma R. (Mountz) Fosnocht, died Sept. 2, 2006.

A World War II Navy veteran, he fought in The Battle of Normandy and was a life-member of Adamstown VFW. Charles drove truck for Interstate Container Corporation and worked for Bob’s American Used Cars, Ephrata. He loved boating, fishing, camping, NASCAR and the Phillies. He had been a member of Immanuel Evangelical Congregational Church, Adamstown.

Surviving is his daughter: Sandra (Ronald) Dietrich, Ephrata; son: Randall A. (Bonnie J. Mohler) Fosnocht, Stevens; five grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by siblings: Joe and Havard Fosnocht, Mary Munson, Hannah Hackman and Iva Glasmyre.

Funeral services were held Dec. 12 from Good Funeral Home, Reamstown, with The Rev. M. Craig Snow officiating. Burial followed in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Adamstown.
