Arnold ‘Rick’ Behrndt, 54, Warwick grad, Boy Scout, car salesman, paranormal investigator

Arnold “Rick” Behrndt passed away at his home in St. Augustine, Fla., on Aug. 5, 2016.

He was born April 19, 1962, in Wilmington, Del., to Betty (Ginn) Hocking and the late Arnold Behrndt.

Rick, as most people called him, was a well known car salesman and manager in Lancaster; Sarasota, Fla.; and St. Augustine, Fla. Recently he joined the Paranormal Investigators of North Florida, and was in the process of opening his own business in the paranormal. He was a graduate of Warwick High School, and was confirmed in the Lutheran Church in Lititz.. Arnold was a musician, artist, loved fishing, and anything to do with the water and ocean. He and his mother shared the love of plants and nature. Arnold was a Boy Scout of America, and earned many awards such as Order of the Arrow. He was also a leader at Camp Mack.

Arnold is survived by his mother: Betty (Ginn) Hocking; sister: Jacqueline Shahat of Manheim; nephew: Kyle Osborne of Manheim; and his black Labrador retriever: Pete.

A service will be held on a later date for family and friends to celebrate his life.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Heart Foundation or S.A.F.E. Pet Rescue, in Arnold’s name.
