Annabelle K. Mearig, 88, worked at Yerger Bros., active at Lititz UMC, enjoyed ceramics, crocheting

Annabelle K. Mearig, 88, of Lititz, died peacefully on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2018 at the Pleasant View Retirement Community, Manheim.

Born in Lititz, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Helen Krumbine Antes. Annabelle was the loving wife of the late Russell E. Mearig, who died in January of 2012.

Earlier in her life, Annabelle worked for Alcoa and Yerger Bros. as a machine operator. An active and faithful member of Lititz United Methodist Church; Annabelle taught in the nursery at the church for over 32 years. Through the years Annabelle did ironing for people in the Lititz area, and enjoyed crocheting and making ceramics. She was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Surviving are two grandsons: Alexander and William Mearig, both of Lititz, and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death is a son: Bradford P. Mearig; two sisters: Ruth Getz, Mary Strauss; and three brothers: Paul “Pete,” Fred, and Robert Antes.

Services were held Oct. 17 at Buch Funeral Home, Lititz. Interment was in Graybill’s Brethren Cemetery, Elm.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Annabelle’s memory to: Pleasant View Retirement Community Benevolent Care Endowment Fund, 544 N. Penryn Road, Manheim, PA 17545.
