Anna H. Brandt, 87, dairy farmer, active at Chiques COB, volunteered at Pleasant View

Anna H. Brandt, 87, of Manheim, formerly of Elizabethtown, was called to her Heavenly home on Sunday morning, Sept. 17, 2017, at Pleasant View Retirement Community.
Born in Rapho Township, she was the daughter of the late Herbert O. and Esther Hess Wolgemuth. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Brandt for 59 years, prior to his passing in 2009.
Anna was an active member of Chiques Church of the Brethren in Manheim where she supported the church in many ways. In addition to being a homemaker, she assisted her husband with the work on their family dairy farm in Mount Joy Township, Anna also gave her time by volunteering at Pleasant View Retirement Community and Brethren Village. She enjoyed raising and tending flowers.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children: Robert N., husband of Marian Rodger Brandt, of Elizabethtown; Sharon L., wife of Henry Bowman Jr., of Manheim; Steven L., husband of Pamela Frey Brandt, of Manheim; and Joel L., husband of Kimberly Freet Brandt, of Elizabethtown; 10 grandchildren: Jonathan Bowman, husband of Eun Sun Ko; Heather, wife of Ryan Blake; Justin, husband of Kylee Bowman; Taylor, husband of Sara Brandt; Joshua Bowman; Lindsey, wife of Chris Sobeck; Elyse, wife of Colin Catoe; Kristin, wife of Dan Kreisher; Adam Brandt; and Aaron Brandt; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister: Vera W. Ginder of Lancaster; and three sisters-in-law: Ethel Shelly, Grace Wolgemuth, and Ruth Wolgemuth.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law: A. Reneé Harnley Brandt; a sister: Lois Ginder; and three brothers: Paul, Clyde, and Galen Wolgemuth.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 23, at noon, at Chiques Church of the Brethren, 4045 Sunnyside Road, Manheim. Interment will be private in the adjoining cemetery. There will be no public viewing. The family will receive guests at the church on Saturday morning from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service. All are invited to a luncheon at the church immediately following the service.
