Alvena B. Bradley, 101, Stunzi Silk Mill worker, enjoyed bingo, carnivals

Alvena B. Bradley, 101, a resident of Pleasant View Retirement Community in Manheim, passed away Monday, Feb. 2, 2016. Alvena was a longtime resident of Ephrata, and truly loved the town of Ephrata.

She was the wife of the late Elwood M. Bradley, who passed away Nov. 5, 2013.

She had been employed at the former Miller Hess Shoe Co. and Stunzi Silk Mill and enjoyed reading, going to carnivals, and playing bingo.

Alvena was the last of her immediate family and is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her siblings: Louella, Mary, Ernest, Samuel, William, Clyde, and Paul.

At Alvena’s request there will be no public funeral service.
