Candlelight vigil for Aaliyah Boyer

Photos by Stan HallThe greater Manheim community filled its town square last Saturday night for a candlelight vigil to remember 10-year-old Aaliyah Boyer, who died after being struck in the top of her head by a bullet while watching New Year's Eve fireworks in Elkton, Md. The bullet reportedly came from nearby celebratory gunfire. The investigation continues. Aaliyah was a fourth grader at H.C. Burgard Elementary School in Manheim. Her obituary appears on page A8.
