Warwick High School art show May 23

Melissa Blose created this piece of art, one of many that will be displayed at the Warwick High School art show on May 23.

The Warwick High School invites all community members to this year’s art show. There will be over 500 works of art created by students during the 2018-2019 school year. The exhibit will be on display in the hallways of the school.

Advanced Placement Studio Art students will have their portfolios of artwork on display in the high school library, showcasing their work submitted for the College Board AP test this school year.

This annual event is open to the public to showcase all the talented artists of Warwick High School May 23 from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

Artworks include painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, jewelry, mixed media, and printmaking. Some examples of projects that will be displayed are: larger than life food sculptures; surrealist paintings and drawings; functional ceramic bowls, vases, and mugs; large hyperrealistic paintings; self-portraits in various materials and media; wearable jewelry; and sketchbooks to look through showing students research and planning from this school year.
