On Saturday, Sept. 10, two artisan events, and a car show, will be held in Ephrata. The events are sponsored by Downtown Ephrata, Inc. (DEI) in partnership with the Ephrata Area Chamber of Commerce

The 43rd Annual Arts and Crafts Festival and Car Show in Downtown Ephrata from 9 a.m to 3 p.m. Partnering in the day’s events is the historic Ephrata Cloister, as it hosts its Annual Artisan’s Faire on the Cloister grounds from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

For the arts and crafts lover, more than 100 vendors are booked to line the downtown, covering Main Street from Church to Lake Streets. The Cocalico Cruisers will set up shop to showcase their prized possessions along State Street between Franklin and Locust.

A wide array of food vendors, local crafters and small businesses will be offering everything from fresh baked sweets, homemade dog treats, jewelry, candles, handbags, woodworking, photography, wreaths, glasswork, beaded work, children’s teepees, tatted, crochet items, and much more.

Painted Spring Farm Alpacas will once again be in attendance this year, giving a demonstration spinning alpaca wool. Also joining them will be some of the Alpacas from their farm.

Multiple locations will be set up to provide music within the downtown area during the festivities. From noon to 2 p.m., main street will rock with the sounds of the 50s and 60s, performed by the Nomads. Other musical highlights will include singer/songwriter Sean Campbell, who has been playing the Lancaster scene for over a decade; and Lancaster County native Bobbi Carmitchell, entertaining from 9 a.m. to noon. Joyful Canvas face-painting will be on hand from 9 to 11 a.m.; with fun and mayhem by Insanity Factor from 10 a.m. to noon, complete with magic and balloon sculpting.
