The Lititz Moravian Trombone Choir will present a concert this Sunday afternoon, Feb. 21, at 3 p.m., in the Wolfe Auditorium at Brethren Village, located at 3001 Lititz Pike, Lancaster.

This concert is one in a series of musical presentations sponsored by the Performing Arts Committee. Under the direction of Marilyn Winfield, the trombone choir will play a variety of classical, “Marching Down Broadway” music, Moravian Chorale Cycle style and spirituals.

The choir, with 20-plus members, has a unique history dating back to 1771 when its inaugural appearance was on Christmas Eve. The Trombone Choir has been in continuous service since then. Today the choir includes trumpets, trombones, horns, baritone horns and tubas.

The public is invited to attend. No tickets are necessary but a cost-sharing offering will be taken. For more information, call Earl Ziegler, committee chair at 560-6488.
