Lititz Farmers Market opens Thursday

By on May 17, 2017

The Lititz Farmers Market will open for the season on Thursday, May 18, from 4:30 p.m. until dusk. The market is also moving to a more visible location — downtown on North Broad Street, beside and behind the Parkview Hotel, along Lititz Spring.

A bigger space also means room for more vendors.

“The Lititz Farmers Market is excited to start bringing community and togetherness into our weeknights,” explained market co-manager Lauren Bitting-Ellis. “In addition to all the market favorites, we will have featured food vendors, a spotlight on a local retailer, a kids activity tent with local high school volunteers, plus the great live music and occasional special events that we’re known for.”

This year’s vendors include: Aunt Mary, Amaranth Gluten Free Bakery, Banana Blossom, Blue Spruce Market, Bretta’s Bread, Bountiful Feast Popsicles, Charles Family Farm,  Elm Family Flowers, Grumpy Bear Granola, Global Kitchen, Isabelle Cuisine, JB Kelly’s Seafood Connection, McCalls Ferry Farm, My Peruvian Treasures,  Sugar Whipped, Susan’s Garden Patch, Thom’s Bread, Twisted Sisters Ice Cream, Wise Oak Herbs, Wish Herb Shop, and Woodcrest Daylilies.

The Myopics will be providing entertainment at the market on opening day. Other musical acts will follow each week.

If interested in becoming a vendor, or having your musical act considered for the market’s schedule, email Brittany Horst at brittneyahorst@gmail.com.

The market will be open each Thursday evening through Oct. 12.  Keep an eye out for special upcoming market events at lititzfarmersmarket.com, or on their Facebook page.
