Fall fun for everyone

There’s haunted (and not-so-haunted) fun for everyone to be had at these Halloween and fall-themed events:

Oregon Dairy — The corn maze and fall fun are open every weekend Sept. 14 through Oct. 26., with additional flashlight maze hours in October. Visit oregondairy.com.

Ephrata Fair — The 101st Ephrata Fair will be held Sept. 24 through 28 in downtown Ephrata. Admission is free. Visit ephratafair.org to learn more.

Manheim Farm Show — The Manheim Community Farm Show will be held Oct. 7 through 11 on the grounds of Manheim Central High School, Adele Avenue, Manheim. Parking and admission are free. Visit manheimfarmshow.org.

AppleUmpkin Festival — This festival of food, crafts, rides, and costumes will be held at Adamstown Grove, 300 W. Main St., Adamstown, Oct. 19, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Visit adamstowncommunitydays.com.

Jack Frost Parade — The Jack Frost Parade happens the last week of October each year in Ephrata. The details about this year’s event have not yet been announced.

Lions Halloween Parade — The Lititz Lions Club Halloween parade will be held this year on Oct. 28, starting at 7 p.m. in downtown Lititz. Those wishing to march can register at lititzlions.org/halloween-parade.

Trick-or-Treat — County-wide trick-or-treat in Lancaster County is Thursday, Oct. 31, from 6 to 8 p.m.

You’ll run into this scary fellow if you dare venture to Field of Screams this year. The venue, located in Mountville, donates a percentage of its proceeds annually to charity. The haunted fun starts this weekend.

Field of Screams — Four scary attractions, food, entertainment, escape rooms, and more. Weekends through mid-November, starting Sept. 13. Visit fieldofscreams.com.

Cherry Crest Farms — “The Amazing Maize Maze” corn maze and countless activities for kids at 400 Long Lane, Lancaster. Spend about an hour in the world’s most dynamic and interactive five-acre corn maze with over 2.5 miles of paths, scenic bridges, and clues. Visit cherrycrestfarm.com to learn more.

Sleepy Hollow Hayride — Located in Newtown; open weekends through late October. Visit sleepyhollowhayride.com.

Ren Faire — Halloween Daze and Spooky Knights at the Pennsylvania Rennaissance Faire in Manheim will be held for three consecutive weekends in October. Visit parenfaire.com.

Barnyard Kingdom — Great fall fun for kids of all ages at 211 S. Donerville Road, Lancaster. Visit countrybarnmarket.com.

Ghost Tour (Lancaster) — Take a 90-minute ghost tour in downtown Lancaster. Times/dates vary. Visit ghosttour.com/lancaster.

Union Mill Acres — Pick your own pumpkin and enjoy fall festivities at Union Mill Acres, 7557 Elizabethtown Road, E-town. Visit unionmillacres.com.

Jason’s Woods — A scary Lancaster county treasure south of Millersville, featuring a haunted hayride and much, much more. Events for kids during the days on the weekend. Visit jasonswoods.com.

Corn Cob Acres — Lots of fun for the kids on weekends in Mountville, through the end of October. Visit corncobacres.com.

Shocktoberfest — A haunted scream-park located at 94 Park Ave, Sinking Spring, open weekends through mid-November. Visit shocktoberfest.com.

Ghost Tour (Strasburg) — Take a ghost tour of historic Strasburg. Details: ghosttour.net/strasburg.

Kim’s Krypt — There are six haunted attractions at this venue, open through early November, at 5932 Colonial Valley Road, Spring Grove. Visit kimskrypt.com.

Boston Haunted Manor — Formerly FrightFest Lancaster, located at 14 Acorn Blvd., Lancaster. Find them on Facebook.
