Electric avenues: local Christmas lights shine bright

Throughout the month, we’ve been asking readers to spotlight their favorite Christmas light displays in our coverage area. A nighttime drive around town shows there is no shortage of holiday spirit here. Here are a few that caught our eye:

Cedar Hollow Farm, located at 181 Loghes Drive, near Manheim, is always a festive sight this time of year. This photo, taken by Preston Whitcraft, was recommended by a neighbor, Elaine Nissley. “I love living here at Christmas time,” she said. “It’s beautiful.”

Below are some more shots of the home of Rick and Wendy Motz, 659 Laurel Ave., Lititz, taken by Alan Johnson. Thousands of lights and electronic components are involved in the display, coordinated with music on 88.3 FM. The show runs nightly from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Don’t forget to drop off a donation to the Lititz Public Library while you’re visiting.
