Special screenings at Ephrata Main

Back by popular demand, filmmaker and Ephrata-native Kevin Carvell and Ephrata Main Theatre will have a series of special screenings of the hit all-new family holiday fantasy film “The Christmas Dragon” beginning at 5 p.m. Dec 26 through Dec. 30. Admission is still just one can of food per person and benefits Ephrata Area Social Services.

“Our Dec. 8 screening event was such a huge success that folks have been asking for more,” Carvell said. “We had an amazing turnout. Fun and laughter was had by parent and child alike. And more importantly, we took in an estimated 700 pounds of food for EASS for the good work they do. Now… let’s help them do more.”

In the film, a group of orphans and a dragon must face bandits and fantastic creatures to bring magic back to the North to save Father Christmas, fulfilling Christmas wishes for children everywhere.

“The Christmas Dragon” is a production of Arrowstorm Entertainment and stars Bailee Johnson (“127 Hours”), Jake Stormoen (“Mythica”), Melanie Stone (“Survivor”), Ruby Jones, Paris Warner, David De Villiers, Jacob Buster, Adam Johnson (“Veronica Mars,” “Dexter”), and Eve Mauro (“The Shadow Cabal”). Written by Shylah and David Addante and music is by James Schafer, Carvell serves as an executive producer, alongside Kynan Griffin, Jason Faller and director John Lyde.
