Celebrate Earth Day at Millport Conservancy

Featuring Linden Hall’s 22nd Annual Art Show

Millport Conservancy, 737 Millport Road, Lititz, has planned a full day’s worth of activities to celebrate Earth Day. The even till be held, rain or shine, on April 22, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The day’s schedule includes:

  • A yoga class with Monica Kirchner, owner of Bridge Yoga Studio;
  • Seedling potting with Donegal Trout Unlimited volunteers;
  • Nature face painting by Linden Hall student artists;
  • “The Effect of Flower Color and Nectar on Common Milkweed Pollination,” presented by F&M student Dillon Alderfer;
  • Get up close and personal with a Tesla car;
  • Learn about Full Circle Susquehanna’s “Sense of Wonder” camp and meet former campers;
  • “BeeBees All Naturals” will be sharing information about honeybees, with honey and all natural products available for purchase.
  • Trails are open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • An edible plant walk, hosted by Nathan Rupley; and
  • A cyanotype/sunprint workshop, taught by LuAnn Billet, Linden Hall photography teacher;

Refreshments and snacks will be available during the day, provided by the Lancaster County Career and Technology Center culinary students.

Art show

The festivities also include Linden Hall School for Girls’ 22nd annual art show, featuring fine arts and photography created by many of the students.
