AJ’s Mini Golf was a hole lotta fun!

A little rain didn’t dampen the spirit of AJ’s Pop-Up Mini Golf on Saturday and Sunday.

“Yes, the rain on Saturday was a bit of a bummer, but we had people showing up the second it stopped!” said Marni Van Grouw, mother of Austin “AJ,” who came up with the idea of the creative pop-up charity mini golf, now in its third year. this year’s mini golf had a theme of All Across America.

“We had a steady stream (pun intended) of visitors all weekend,” said Marni. “Just over 200 people came to play and raised $1,225 for the Heatherwood Bike Park.

“We also asked folks to vote on their favorite hole and Vermont was the winner (that was the hole that featured a ski jump over a pile of snowballs),” she said. “Hawaii, which featured a volcano, tied for second place, along with Indiana, where we featured an Indianapolis Speedway hole.”
