Lititz’s 2nd Friday observance take place on Friday night, Aug. 9, from 5 to 9 p.m. in downtown Lititz.

While shopping and dining during 2nd Friday, and during all of August, you can help raise money for the Lititz recCenter Community Partnership Fund. Downtown Lititz participating locations include: Aaron’s Books, Salonovation, Olio Olive Oils and Balsamics, Wilbur Chocolate Store, McElroy Pharmacy, Cafe Chocolate, and Bruno’s Old Style Hoagies.

Events on 2nd Friday include, but are not limited to:

  • Wilbur Chocolate will have an Old Fashioned Game Night with the Lititz recCenter. Back by popular demand will be frozen chocolate drinks. All proceed go the Lititz Rec Scholarship Fund.
  • Calkins Vine and The Branches will be hosting My Vintage Obsession. Karen will display her unique and sensibly priced vintage merchandise.
  • Lititz Historical Foundation, from 7 to 8 p.m., will welcome guest Janet Smedley who will present the program “What Early Moravians Wore for Work and Worship.” The museum and gift shop will also be open from 5 to 9 p.m.
  • Danner’s Deli will be doing a tribute to Elvis.
  • Purple Robin Reserve will offer free painting demonstration by watercolors artist Brenda Blank in front of their local artisan gift gallery from 6 to 8 p.m.
  • Aaron’s Books is celebrating its Summer Read-A-Palooza with a book party from 5 to 8 p.m. The store will be full of refreshments, stories, crafts, and games. Author Jonathan Stutzman and illustrator Heather Fox will read from their new picture book, “Llama Destroys the World.”

  • Main Men & Main Men Ladies will be hosting Rebel Hive Meadery from Shillington. They will be offering tastings.
  • Josiah’s Oils LLC will be hosting a make-and-take your own personal essential oils roll.
  • Maven Beauty PA is hosting Alex’s Lemonade Stand at Otto 79. The lip color of the month, Mya Rose, is in honor of a clients’ granddaughter, who suffered from neuroblastoma. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. Donate at: alexslemonade.org/mypage/1805080.
  • Appierances is going to have “Water Games 4 the Family” from 5 to 7 p.m., and “buck a stripe” color for hair (it shampoos out) all day. Anyone that has scheduled their hair/nail appointment online will receive a complimentary travel size product (sign up at tiny.cc/appierances).
  • Pebbles & Lace Lititz will host Katie Byler of petalslanc on Instagram from 5 to 9 p.m. their Feedsack Extravaganza. While Katie shares her fresh flower bouquets and stems, the store will display approximately 800 flour/feedsack fabrics printed between the 1930s and 1950s. Grandma Ruth has been busy sewing aprons and tea towels from these vintage fabrics as well.
  • Cherry Acres is doing 20% off all clay fired pottery.
  • Atlas General Store will be hosting Amy Rieg from 5 to 9 p.m. One of Amy’s encaustic paintings won second place at this year’s Lititz Outdoor Fine Art Show. She will be demonstrating the encaustic painting process as well as showing her works of art.
  • Zest! will be hosting Damn Yankee Catering from Robesonia. Damn Yankee makes amazing jams and jellies, many made from wine. Meet Karen and try some of her delicious and unique wine spreads.
  • Heavenly Soaps & Scents will be having a sale on children’s summer clothing (25-50% off).
  • Tom Groth’s Guitar Studio at 7 E. Orange St., will host artist Gilly.19.USA, demonstrating his “positive energy” painting style from 5 to 9 p.m.
