Photo by Rodney MosemanNearly 2,000 people welcomed the new year with pork and sauerkraut at Lititz Church of the Brethren, a local tradition in its 14th year. Marty Hershey, one of the event organizers, said 140 volunteers prepped more than 900 pounds of pork, over 700 pounds of potatoes and approximately 130 pounds of sauerkraut for the event that serves as a fundraiser for the congregation's youth programs.
